Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Times

With the theme of ENERGY, Vancouver Experimental Theremin Orchestra were guests of residency artists Kat Wahamaa and Robi Smith at Earth Day celebrations in the City of Maple Ridge on April 23, 2016.

Members of VETO provided demos throughout the day, encouraging the public to experience playing a hand-built, touchless instrument, highlighting Nikola Tesla's technology and Leon Theremin's invention of the world's first electronic instrument. Finally, the group had the pleasure of presenting a new score called, The Elements, on the ACT Theatre stage for the audience.
